Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

Professional Background

I began my professional career as a marketing representative for IBM, and subsequently applied marketing and sales skills to non-profit and education management. Prior to my career in residential real estate, I was a senior administrator in international education, and spent an equal amount of time as a director of admission at independent schools and St. John's College in Annapolis.

As your Realtor

I strive to make buying or selling a home a great experience for my clients. I endeavor to discern each client's personal communication style, provide clear information, and manage the multitude of details involved in any transaction. I draw on the analytical, listening, negotiation, and "closing" skills honed in previous positions to get each purchase or sale to a successful settlement. I specialize in getting homes ready to sell and at pricing them properly so they attract a wide range of potential buyers. The first listing in my real estate career went under contract the first day and settled for over asking price, and I have maintained a very low average of "days on market" and high "list to sales price" ration.

Giving Back

I am a member of the Vestry of St. Anne's Church (the Church on the Circle) and participate with Anne Arundel Women Giving Together (AAWGT), a women's philanthropic giving circle dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Anne Arundel County. I also volunteer with Action Annapolis, a non-partisan grassroots organization created to engage and inform voters through events featuring local and state candidates. I have two rescue dogs, and foster other rescues as time allows. I sponsor two midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Family and Interests

I have been a resident of Maryland since 1992, and previously lived in the Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, and overseas in France and Belgium.  I enjoy working on house renovations, spending time with my adult daughters in downtown Annapolis, sponsoring Midshipmen, and keeping in touch with several international students we hosted over the years.  I am an avid reader and music fan, and take advantage of the robust live music scene in Annapolis and DC. A devote of "all things G&S", I sung for many years with Gilbert and Sullivan groups in New York City and Baltimore. Finally, I love getting out on the Chesapeake Bay by any means available.
